Profile

I’ve been a web developer for around 20 years. During my career, I’ve been part of building excellent digital products with great team members on projects that impacted society through technology at many levels – from startups and early-stage companies to market-leading companies like Globo.com. I’ve been working with open-source initiatives and speaking at tech events such as React Advanced in London, QCon, and FISL (an international open-source software forum).

My career has been based on learnings from different projects, so I’ve acquired knowledge of the most used programming languages, such as JavaScript and its main frameworks, like React.js and React Native, as well as backend languages like Node.js, Ruby, Java, Python, PHP, relational and nonrelational databases, as well as trending technologies like GraphQL.

This flexibility allowed me to contribute to different open-source projects worldwide, like Electricity Map in Python, Status Messenger with Blockchain, and Bootstrap, one of the most popular front-end open-source libraries. From all of these contributions and learnings, I published the Mobile First Bootstrap book by Packt Publishing in December 2013.

I’m not just a strong professional with technical experience and expertise who loves to share my knowledge; I can make any business move forward. I have worked on my open-source project, Gitpay (https://gitpay.me), an open-source platform that solves issues and has a growing global community of contributors. If that weren’t enough, I have lab experience with the Internet of Things, programming with Arduino and microcontrollers, and my automated indoor garden system.

And as a lover of software engineering process, I am an early adopter of agile methodologies, and my life is a scrum board. How do you think I can manage all of this?
